Have you checked the accuracy of your hygrometer?
They are often not too accurate in the very high Rh ranges.
Take care,

Wrap it in a damp towel for an hour. Unwrap it. Read it. The reading will be your 99%

If you can figure out how to adjust it(some have screws in the back, or you might have to take it apart and bend something). Otherwise, assume that 85% is your new 100%, and go from there.

buy one of these analog hygometers http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=analog+hygrometer
or if you have a digi Calibration method <-- then use this link.

You can throw that "RH meter" you have in the trash or play "RH meter baseball with it. The reason I say that is because it's most likely a cheap digital humidity reader. Constructed in China, purchased from your local chain department store, not worth the plastic that houses the components.
What's your fruiting chamber? Most fruiting fruiting chambers designed per the tek, coupled with a proper regimen of misting then fanning, hold proper levels of relative humidity. You'll also need to keep your fruiting area within idea fruiting temperature ranges, 70-72F. A little lower than 70, such as 65F is ok. You won't see contamination in exchange for an increased fruiting time. Colder temperature ranges of the proper fruiting temperature ranges produce a meatier fruit.
An example of fruiting chambers that, designed per the tek'll hold proper humidity are; Ohmatic style monotubs, Shotgun Terrarium fruiting chambers, and mono/mini-mono shutgun hybrid, or mono/mini-mono monotub hybrid, dubtubs, ect. Do a search of the forums using the various different fruting chambers fore-mentioned.

P.S. Thanks for the RR donation reminder in your sig.
I finally got around to dropping the $5 there.
I hope to afford the videos eventually, even if I am figuring out most stuff as I go.

Not much, man. Its kinda like having a ms grow. I think anonjon had a grow of ape with some normal cube mixed in. Looked cool.
Just dont take prints since you wont really know what they are.

you grow unknown cubes is the short answer, you might get lucky if the 2 strains look very different but having been grown in the same conditions they will look similer also.
what 2 were they?

mazatapec and b+ so yeah not really similar, i am only asking because i did not label the jars after inoculation, so i had to try and back track, so i could have in the end labeled them wrong. the thing that has made me think about this is the rye jars are colonizing at different speeds, and i noticed with my pf grow that the maz was faster for some reason. yeah Base, i wont be printing these, just to be safe.

the growth that i am referring to was in the jars on the shelf so Rh is irrelevant, i do have a digital hygrometer/thermometer for fruiting though.
