Well, your mushies are rotting, if you do not refrigerate or dehydrate they will do that very quickly, you may want to throw away anything that is oozing black liquid.

i dont need the mushrooms to be dry or any thing like that i just need to preserve them for like 5-7 days.

Fridge in an open container should do ya, maybe a brown paper bag, It is how I keep my portabella good for about 5 days...

Just an idea, but something I have seen, this can mean that your spawn had a bacterial contamination.
Good luck,

I have a question. I also realize this may not be the right place to ask it, but I couldn't see the harm. I am using ethyl alcohol for sterilization, which is denatured with camphor. Does anyone see any potential problems with the camphor lingering on the surfaces I sterilize?

Yes, use tyvek and micropore tape doubled up over your gas exchange holes like this,
Tyvek. Micropore tape. Tyvek. Micropore tape.
Micropore tape/tyvek gas exchange filter material will begin to decrease in pore size due to the intense heat of the sterilizer. Micropore tape/tyvek filter material will need to be replaced every other time through the sterilizer because of the reduction in pore sizes due to the intense heat of the sterilization cycle.

cant get anyone to even look at my post but i have a couple of 5 gallon buckets of poo that i need to use as a substrate. As i go to fill up a bowl for pasturization i found decaying rotting wild mushrooms accross the top. Im guessing nutrients is fine it wasnt even a large flush but is the other mycelium going to ruin my project later or that there a deecaying unknown mushroom in there. im a noobie thanks for your time and advidce would be well considered.

Its not idea, but you should still be able to use it. Some of its nutrients have been used, but if thats all ya got use it.
Make sure you pasteurise it properly.
