you can just look at it and tell. its in the bottom of the jars. its dusty and its breaking off of the uncolonized portion of the cake.i was wondering if i could do just like inoculation and squirt some sterile water down the sides of the jar and hope the verm absorbs it and allows the mycelium to colonize that portion of the cake as well.the mycelium has colonized most of the cake. i didnt know if it would be worth the effort or should i just birth the cake once it stalls and cut that uncolonized dry portion off completely? i will be able to post pics once i get home this evening.

Hey Friends,
This is the 10th day after I watered my growbox. This is how the mushies looks like now (the tallest one is 5 cm / 2 inches tall). This is the 4th day after the first pinhead appeared.

This will be the first time, when I try mushrooms. I wanted to try it tomorrow (24hrs later than now), start with 15 gs fresh, but as I can see, they won't grow 'till tomorrow enough What do You think? Will some of them be okay for tomorrow, or I have to give it up and try it on the next weekend?
Thanks a lot.

I think he's right. I do not think that you will get to 15 grams with those. (BTW: this is a good first dose amount)
Good luck!

I have a question, i'm new at cultivation and am currently growing the strains of Golden Teacher and Chitwan Nepal. both are starting to fruit well except one of my GTs has his big weird looking ball growing on it, it does not look like contamination though,

here are the pictures of this thing. Thanks for all your help shroomery!!!!!!!!!!

LOL...I think that anonjon was right on the other thread.
Picking it now and going for another flush is a good idea, or you can let it grow for a while. It is edible.

Hey There,
I've done the first harvesting and it was great, but as I can see accidentaly I left some stumps there. The new mycelium fuzzys started to grow and something is growing on the stumpfs too. The stumpfs after the harvesting turned purple/green like the shrooms after injuring so it is okay but I'm not sure that there is mycelium growing. It is grey if i'm sure, but I don't know that is it something bad, or it is mycelium and it is grey because there is a stump under it. What should I do?
Thanks for Your answers.

cube myc is never grey, so that doesnt look good to me, you will know for sure in a day or 2 when (if its mold myc) it sporulates and green is everywhere and you cant do any myco work cuz mold spores are sticking to everything and contaming your new stuff.
keep it away from your future projects until your sure its not a contam.

Hi all; my goldfish just started his 1st grow about 28 days ago. He spread out his jars between 3-4 weeks all of them r showing great growth in his incubator; no signs of contams so far. Will post pics when he gets off his lazy ass and works more to buy a camera. I will keep posting if anyone cares xD

spores are legal, no worries, unless you live where they are illegal then sporeworks wouldnt send them to you anyway.

thanks, yes in the FAQ of spore works it said that the syringe's will be a problem in Australia or new zealand but the prints are ok, im guessing that the prints would be difficult to detect anyway.
