Sounds like you need some holes in there man. could be co2 over dose?

I am a newcomer. I've used the PF Tek method. I'm looking for people to poke holes in my plan. I've watched my friend make 100 jars with no precautions to prevent contamination. Only sterilizing the rye jars(and even the bulk substrate, not pasteurizing!) He lets them sit in his humid dingy moldy basement with paper towels under the ring for fruiting right inside the jars. Hes never had any big trouble. His most recent batch of 100 has been 100% successful with no contamination. It frankly amazes me. Lets just say it looks way too easy. There's barely any effort. And lets just say its very "fruitfull". Between 3, SOMETIMES 14 grams per jar. I would like to go about bulk growing this way but I think I can do it better. Of course more steps means more chances of effin it up but I want bigger flushes and more experience. I now have a walk-in closet that has been converted into a sterile-room. I gutted it and misted every inch with bleach-water and then Lysoled the hell out of the carpet. It is in a finished basement with no history of flooding or mold issues. The room the closet is in stays cool and dry. The closet itself has no vents so there should be no moving air when jars are being inoculated. There is a zipper door hidden behind a curtain to the doorway. So heres my plan. As I said, poke holes in it. Poke the shit out of it. If theres a better place for this thread to take place please dirct me there and I'll tuck tail and vamoose. 1. Inoculate 12 jars of 70/15/15 rye/brown rice/barley(any further jars will be 100% rye)with two spore prints in boiled tap-water. I know I should probably be using a method like this but I'm kind of interested in seeing the effectiveness of my sterile room. If I need to make a glove box and spore syringes no big deal.
These 12 jars will be used to test the materials, temps, and sterility, etc. of the environment.
2. Shake at 30% and and maybe 70% if colonization isn't evenly spread still. Then split 12 jars between 3 trays to go into 3 totes with vermiculite(or perlite)base. These totes will be shotgunned for with fanning 3 to 6 times daily. FAE. Casing will be made using Hyphae's method. Temp(space heater with thermostat) and light(lightswitch and finger ) will be adjusted for fruiting. Resulting fruits(if I'm lucky enough to have gotten that far)will be consumed for testing .
3. Inoculate spores in 6 petri-dishes. Then choose the most promising Rhizomorphs from each dish to inoculate three jars respectively. This will give me a margin of error with each genome set. From these jars I will take note of the fastest colonizing and fastest fruiting. Resulting fruits will be tested for potency (if I'm lucky)
4. From there I'll pick my genome and see if any kinks need to be worked out in the implementation of my method.
5. Then its on to Bulk colonizing! Yah!! The most promising genome fruit will be cloned and colonized in sterilized rye jars which will be used to colonize ten spawn jars. These will colonize 100. These will fill, I don't know, a fuck-ton of totes.

Hi got kinda new starter question, that is probably answered several times on this forum i guess. One or lets say 2 because they are grown tog ehter, they have matured and are early risers, should i pick those 2 so all the other once get in to the right flush? or let it be and pick those later.
One of them is quite big. he stretches across the newbie box =). here is a picture to make it easier.
The one to the left is the biggest one of all the others but thouse 2 infornt of you are the mammuths you could say.

From experience I've noticed there is always a bigger one, the first one that always grows usually first...I just let him go, be good for genetics if you wanted to isoalate the D.N.A I guess??

What the fuck do you think he means, you moog. "like" implies similarity to something else, all the way from loose similes to direct comparison. Now use your tiny brain and figure out what he meant. You ask the stupidest questions of people when they ask for advice in growing. They're not looking for more questions that would be asked by a 5 year old incontinent retard, they're looking for answers from people with experience in exactly what they're doing, or similar experience. Good show.
To Bilbo: if I were you, I would get a strong aquarium pump, maybe a fifty gallon one or larger, depending on the size of your chamber. Run two lines to two bubble stones in two separate jars in your shotgun. You may want to cover up some of the holes with gorilla tape if your humidity reads lower than usual after installing, but these babies will supply constant fresh air if the pump is strong enough, no joke. Put a splash of h202 in the jars every time you put more water in them. The peroxide is broken down quickly into water and oxygen so you have to add it regularly, but it will keep the air going in sterile.
I have a hygrometer that is reliable for ratios of humidity, but only goes up to 90% in full humidity. Therefore, I can assume 90 is 100% RH. It is analog, you should get a decent analog and do the tests to figure out what it measures 100% as. Then, you can be sure of the reasons you're having problems, but definitely install those airstone jars. They will help hydrate the air.
Good luck

Do you mean it looks kinda looks like a tree? Could it be aerial mycellium? That has a tendency to look like a tree in my opinion. Is it poking up thru the csing?

Well without a pic I am not going to say for sure but it sounds like aerial myc. It happens with casings the myc reaches out to you to tell you that they love you. It looks like a white tree usually about the size of a quarter or so.
