Well good sir, im a bit limited, so thats why i was wondering if indirect sunlight would do the job, or something else that is inexpensive.

A 6500k florescent light bulk other wise known as daylights cost only a few bucks 2-3$

I would call that cheap

It could work, but you'd have to worry about airflow.

i wouldnt use spent coffee for something thats going to be pasteurized. coffee contams easy unless it sterilized properly. and you should use a good casing mix like 50/50 pea moss/verm. using coir in a casing is something you dont want to do.

Hi, can anyone tell me if I made a mistake by drilling holes in the lid to my fruiting chamber? in the video here http://www.mushroomvideos.com/Terrarium-Tek they say to drill holes in all six sides, which I assumed meant the top, too. But then I didn't see holes in their lid. Is it better not to have holes in the lid so that spores/other contam can't get in through the top?

thanks for your help, I'm getting really excited, my first grow!
