nah dont case, just fruit the cakes. casing cakes wont help you out, just will delay the process and give you another chance of contaminating your grow. just let the cakes sit for a week after 100% colonized, then dunk in water for 24hrs, roll them in verm and stick them in a shotgun fc. check the link in my sig. it has tons of notes you should check out, and plenty of good up to date pictorial teks.

you will know the cakes are ready to take out of the jars when the mycl pulls away from the jar. its consilated and should then be dunked in water to rehydrate the cakes so they dont dry out while fruiting.

hey all, yes, another "new guy" to the wonderful world of brown rice flour, timers, aquarium heaters, rye berries, and of course, jars that are taking FOREVER to colonize..... lol
I have been watching multiple videos and reading multiple posts on line in preparation for the work ahead of me. I keep seeing people making spore prints and scraping the spores into a small glass bottle with distilled water. Does anyone know where I can get some of those small glass bottles??
any help is GREATLY appreciated.

baby food jars work great or even your 1/2 pint PFtek jars are good to use.

I use a shotglass for making single syringes.

Pictures would help, but I think you are jumping the gun. White "fuzz" can just be normal myc growth, if it is pure white with a smooth or sandy texture you could have problems but it doesn't take long to show green. Just relax unless you see another color other than white, or post some pictures. CH

Yes, as long as the white fuzz didn't grow rapidly all over then you should be alright.

as long as you didnt evap all the moisture out of your jars your ok. I would sacrafice one jar to see if its still moist if so all the rest should be good. if not now you know not to waist spores on them and start a new batch. with a lil more water in the pc.

get rid of the heating pads unless your room temps are below 60*F.
you want anywhere in the temp range of mid 60s - upper 70s absolutely no higher than 80F.

get rid of the heating pads and the fish tanks. all you need to fruit is a shotgun terrarium with a few inchs of perlite in it.
