what's the deal with B+. ive had three syringes and 1 of them never colonized and the other 2 were contaminated. ive had other types of spores with no problems. i have had no success with b+. the only problems i have ever had have been with b+.

anyhow where did you get them, B+ is usually a strong strain, did you do anything different during sterilization. Also what substrate.

brf and verm. i got the one that didnt colonize from JLF catalogue and the other two i got from lil shop of spores. lil shop of spores is a great vendor though, at least with everything but b+ so far.

Don?t feel like the lone ranger my friend had the same problem but different vendor all his B+ jars were bad but only one syringe.

I just did some honey water and a couple birdseeds and they are coming along really great. I like the way they grow, there purdy  :grin:

B+ grows slow, but no contams yet in my 4 drinking glasses and I even opened the foil of one of the jars shortly after sterilizing it!

how long till completion?

one of my jars is about half colonized and its been 12 days! thats a loooooooong time! the others are hardly colonized. other strains would take what? 10-15 days to colonize 100%

I just got a batch of B+from the littlshop they are growing fine they are a little below average as far as colonization speed goes > What grade of vermiculite are you using? my last batch I used the fine grade

It depends, but the fine verm i have used didn't give enough air spaces for growth I don't think....medium may be better
