honey water to innoculate jars?

a friend has 2 jars of honey water colonized with B+,would he use a syringe and suck up the mycelium? or will the syringe have a chance of cloging, it is a 18 ga 12 cc syringe any suggestions?

This is what I do. I stick the needle into the jar and suck up as much solution as possible. I then squirt it back in at full force to break up and distribute the mycellium. Do this several times keeping the last filling of course. Use it like any other syringe.

I don't know what the maximum time frame is, but I've had dextrose jars stay good for a couple of months at room temperature. Just agitate them every week or so to help oxygenate the solution. I think you'll run out of honey water before it has a chance to go bad on you. I'm sure it would last for months and months in the fridge.

Some people put a couple shards of glass or glass marbles in their honey water jars so you can shake it up and break up the mycellium before filling your syringe.

Or.... You can just shake the hell out of your jar and then fill the syringe right away...

Yep both work just as well. when you shake it up hectically it also aerates the mycelium nicely.
