man...I feel bad for Bush

everyone thinks hes an idiot, but I think he is pretty intelligent

intelligent people always face great opposition

Inteligeent people prove they are so, i.e. Einstein's theory of Relativity and space-time.
Intelligent people face opposition, but facing opposition doesn't mean you are intelligent.
And if you like Bush, it counts against intelligence. A good president wouldn't out a CIA agent, wire tap citizens, get us into a war with a country that didn't attack us, blindly support Israel, make us all look like dicks(I know he appologised for saying some things, but he does represent us, now we look like wanna-be cow boys), and have pretty much no green policy. I mean, we didn't even sign the Keyoto protical. Besides that, over half our budget is going to the military, and we owe China alot of dough. Now we are heading into Packistan, killing woman and children the whole way to fight terrorists that can't even bomb us a little bit. Hell, I could make a bomb and kill a few people if I didn't care about the consequences, if they were a threat they could too. [/quote

quite often it takes time for one to be recognized for you intelligence.  some of the most intelligent people in history were consider fools, heretics, and insane during their time, but years later are praised for their efforts.
(the opposite is true also... some are praised in their day, but later it is realized how foolish they were.)

personally id rather be the former than the later.

I don't think history will treat him as well as some think. The list of things he has done, remember wire tapping US the CITIZENS? People love the second amendment, but what about the fourth? People have their priorities all fucked up.
and prisoner, you are right, though him reinforcing that attitude didn't help

it looked to me that he knew that he was unwanted there. before they all went on stage together, they were probably all in the back room talking to each other, bush was probably standing in the corner by himself. as outcasted (outnumbered) bullies usually do.

what's sad is that he never offered his hand, he didn't

view it with our own eyes and draw our own conclusions

And a logical explanation for that could very well be that he was chatting with these people before they got on stage and already shook their hands at that time.

I am NO fan of the W, yet I don't believe these other world leaders were slighting him, nor he they.

It was funny watching it pretending as if that were the case.

bush has been used as a scape goat all too often. if you going to bitch about the things HE has done you might wanna bitch about something he had some legitimate control over. you refer to the patriot act? it passed with flying colors BY CONGRESS! even if Bush wanted to veto it he couldn't have.  i dont remember the vote total for the house but im pretty sure it was passed something like 99-1 in the senate.

I didn't mention the Patriot act. I'm not for the democrats, I'm against the republicans, so I could care less what Obama did. I wouldn't vote for either party. I heard alot of things were done in back room type deals, where bush had no say, but he should have used the bully pulpet better. He didn't, and if he did it may not be any better. We'll never know.

sorry minor typo... i meant to ask whether you were referring to the patriot act, in regards to the wire tapping comment.

its seems to me like your complaining about him having too much power, then turn around and say " he should have used the bully pulpet better." i don't get it... well i do but its just dumb. like i said scapegoat. its much easier to blame him than look at who in Congress/Judaical system is responsible for what.

you should care what they all do, anyway if these deals were
secret how is bush supposed to know, I mean my recommendation
would be for him to have then dragged into the streets and
executed on a monthly basis
