But hey, you're not a physicist

And if you're doing string theory, your not a physicist either.

I have an original, uncut "Phénoménologie de la Perception" by Merlau-Ponty.

That'd be pretty awesome. I was visiting a friend last week and I saw she had an old edition of Being and Nothingness by Sartre--thatd be pretty neat too.

Once I showed it to some philosophy student at one of my parties and he came in his pants. Sure it's paperback but it's 1947 and the pages haven't been cut yet (meaning, on a side note, that I haven't read it).

My thesis paper was dubbed: (imagine this with a resonating booming voice coming from the heavens)
AN INQUIRY CONCERNING THE FUNDAMENTAL MOTIVATIONS FOR HUMAN TRANSGRESSION
It was about why humans, since the dawn of time up till now, engage in "wrong" behaviour (yes, wrong is debatable, but I think many of us can agree that things like murder, rape and theft are wrong)
It was fun, a very disciplinic study including sources from biology, genetics, hinduism, buddhims, philosophical metaphysics, social and political philosophy, and existentialism.
Very fun. But yeah, string theory hurts my head. I don't get quantum physics at all.
I love the title. Mine was titled "As Tangled Strings Come Undone, The Theory Of Everything Has Never Looked So Clear".
And I tried to keep string theory as far from mind boggling as possible in the paper while still explaining it and sub atomic anomalies at the depth I wished to..
Lots of pictures, diagrams and metaphors

Then, and only then, once you have fallen so far and are but a shell of that which you once were, I will grant you your every dream. Only to crush them all before your eyes. You doubted my willpower, you abused my generosity, and now you will recognize my cruelty. -Anonymous
