i've seen plenty of people start out fine then suddenly some little thing, like a siren in the distance, can trigger fear, even panic.

once i was trippin' on lsd, walking down santa monica when from behind i heard glass break. immediately, i was apprehensive.
another time, on a high dose of shrooms, i became alarmed when the sun began to set, turning into a real world chicken little, thinking the apocalypse was upon us.

seen plenty of similar things with many others.
sudden unexpected events can trigger bad trips, so care should be taken to prevent such.
unplug the phone,
never answer the door, and always have a trip sitter at high doses.

I was on shrooms at a house party (good vibes, lots of people) and I wandered into the kitchen and sat down to smoke a cig and this fat 30 yr old something guy (this guy attends all frat. high school parties...how gay. but he brings MAD kegs) was like all drunk and shit and someone told him i was trippin so he gets up in my face and starts screaming and shaking his head around. I bugged out thinking his head was spinning around and shit. Then my friend Pete grabbed me and brought me to another room but DAMN!

Drunk people are fuckin assholes...don't trip around them. TRUST ME. I have had many of those experiences.

Say I really like this person, but they don't know it. Being around them puts me on cloud 9. But you know how you get when you're around someone you have a huge crush on...you get butterflies, you feel like an idiot. Should I trip around this person?
