yeah it's pretty hard to find some equipment here in the UK, but otherwise i'll try to help you from what i've learned from my personal experiences in trying to find agar.

first off i had bought an agar kit from smart botanics. it's quite costly, but it works. also, you can make your own like what tokinshitload had said, all you have to do is find some light malt powder/syrup extract (from a home brewery- being in london it's kind of hard to find one unless u live south of the river which i don't), agar agar from a health food store (like holland and barrett), water which i'm sure u have, and nutritional yeast which you can get at the health food store as well. There is a receipe for this type of agar (MYA agar) on the shroomery page somewhere. Otherwise, all this stuff i bought was under ?4. The only problem i had was finding suitable petri dishes. I had just bought yesterday from a supplier 16 glass petri dishes for ?15 + ?5 shipping...which isn't bad. If you have any more questions just post hopefully i can help..
