well rather than starting up a whole other psytrance thread, figured I would bump this one. New to the shroomery and wanted to touch base with folks that listen to the music. Lots of nice psy gatherings coming up especially on and around the spring equinox. Anyone plan on catching a psytrance party this year? These things add a whole other dimension to my trip, like a tribal element, especially when its in the mojave.

I listen to psy goa hardcore etc etc and i reckon it will be mean on shrooms. put together a playlist for next time

ive been to around 4 or 5 psytrance parties and love them. its a great community full of so much peace and harmony especially when everyone is dancing together to the same beat
psytrance is definately still amazing even when sober. i love dancing to psytrance sober

i haven't been out to any mojave psy gatherings yet but i have been to the ozark mountains 3 times and quite a few darkpsy parties in Texas. this year i have plans to attend the second AUM festival, North America's gathering of the tribes. last time the lineup was sick. Mubali, Ghreg on Earth, Dragon, Dylalien, Kri, Uhm, just to drop a few names. it will probably be in Northern California this year, at least thats what it sounds like at this point.
Also i will probably be going to Goa Gil in NC on may 15th.
nothing like a 16+ hour blissful trance session to refresh the mind and spirit.

Those are the type of artist's that will take you places in your mind that you never thought were possible. I especially enjoy Dylalien and Ghreg's music out of those you listed . I have a friend that moved out to CA from Arkansas and told many good things about the Ozarks, and generally about the good people there, like the Esoteric Gen crew. I was actually looking forward to trekking out that way for the 2nd AUM festy, but I guess I cant complain that it's a little closer. It's too bad bc I was looking forward to a road trip. Maybe Gil at Deerfields, NC. That sounds well worth it!
@Pong:
Definitely put Gemini on your schedule. It will go from June 12th-14th. Last year was my first time to this gathering but it has been going on for years- for FREE!! which adds to the communal spirit that makes this event particularly special, other than the fact that it is held in an entire town sitting on the Feather River

if they have AUM festival in cali i will go to gemini instead. if AUM fest is elsewhere i will go to that. i just liked the vibe at AUM so much, and the lineup is also very sick. unfortunately it is not free.
