simply look up the density (in grams per cubic cm.(g/cm*3))of the subtance you need a weight for and multiplyit by .5 (1/2ml=.5cm*3)

I barely have time to check the shroomery, let alone find the density for NaCl.
In fact, i don't have time to check the shroomery.

Can anyone can do me this simple favour!?
Nothing to do with salt actually, but the density or weight of 1/2 mL of NaCl would help as the substance that i'm trying to weigh has basicly the same weight and consistancy.

And moe....NO MORE POSTS ON THIS TOPIC PLEASE!!!! :wink: (unless you got something to add)

salt has a specific gravity of 2.165.

density = mass / volume

2.165g/ml = x / .5ml
x = 2.165g/ml * .5ml
x = 4.33g

The weight of one half mililiter of salt
is 4.33 grams.

One thing's for sure, you shouldn't have slept through math

2.165*0.5 = 1.0825

If by NaCl you mean table salt, then the grain size directly affects the packing and thus the density - this often leads to a density of a half to a third due to interstitial air, however after checking it, table salt is .6 gram per half cc. Powder will be mors chrystal even more again.
