Has anyone else who has had the luck of trying out Ralphster's new Panamanian strain noticed that it mutates alot, like almost 100 percent on first flush? I've had 3 casings mutate, grow twisted, no veil, gills on top of cap (rosecomb?) Originally I thought it was caused by either soap left in the casing tray or high CO2 concentrations, through experimentation I found that niether or these are true to my knowledge. So has anyone else noticed mutations of this kind in this strain? These guys are potent as hell, but I wish they would grow a bit larger, plus it's hard to know when to harvest when there is no veil and no real way of telling it the mushroom is done growing except by waiting a long time to see if it stopped, which is time consuming and isn't good practice.

Panamanian's dont grow too big. when it looks right, choke em down.
is this a cake, or bulk. maybe u could try doing with out the casing and put some cakes down on perlite.
i dont think ur problem is soap in the terran. it wouldnt affect ur casings that much. perhaps CO2 build up.
new grounds to me tho. good luck with it
