I noticed that some people change their avatar as often as weekly.

I have had the same avatar for YEARS.

I tend to recognize a persons avatar/sig quicker than I will their name, since I normally read through the threads and just notice the avatar/sig through my perifial(sp) vision. I don't actually stop and read the name of the poster.

I found one that basically represents who I am...an old stoner. I don't look like the guy in my avatar, but he puts out the kinda vibe that I try to irl.

What makes ya'll want to change your avatar?

i changed mine cuz the other one was old.

I'd like to know that too.  I forget what I used to have.. :lol:  This is my permanent avatar.  At least for the next few years or so.  I feel it fits me when I see it.  Same with you.  If you changed yours I'd have to shoot a PM your way and insist you change it back.

This is only my second avatar, I pretty much changed it because I saw this .gif and thought it was pretty cool.

I just like lots of different images and I want to be represented by a variety of them.  I always read the names of the posters.

yeah...I had an epiphany a few years back that I was a great fool, and so I've kinda stuck with what fits  :craven:

I change mine a lot, but I've noticed that I do notice posters that keep their avatar the same.  Out of my 3 years of membership I think I've changed my avatar 4 times.

My first one was:

My second was:

My third was:

And now its freakazoid.

But I do have sigs turned off.  I noticed sometimes I would start reading the sig as part of the post and I'd get confused and lose the topic.
