Better to Case straw or not to case?
    #923634 - 10/01/02 08:29 PM (14 years, 10 months ago)

Can I get some opinions from everyone? My friends cow has 2 straw cakes about ready to be fruited. They are both about cake pan size and depth. I was wondering if I should case or do like a straight cake. Thanks! Oh, the strain is creaper, and it colonized in under 10 days.

I've never worked with straw cakes, but I would assume that they would benefit from a casing layer.

Im not sure how you would case a cake,...

But, you should really think about casing it in another container. Straw contaminates pretty easily compared to dung or a normal PF cake.

BTW...why not use dung in the mixture? I feel straw does not yeild that much. Its much better with dung in my experience

straw dries out pretty fast,
best to case it.

Uncased straw will yield 1 decent flush. Cased straw will yield 4 or 5. Cakes are easier for newbs to care for. Casings require different environmental paramaters. It's your call...

PM me with any cultivation questions.

I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.
