    #922772 - 10/01/02 01:20 PM (21 years, 6 months ago)

is it common to have small fruits off of PF cakes on the first flush? they are really small, i dont think the cap will get bigger than a nickel. not a problem with me, considering it is a small cake and its first flush

not sure of conditions, just in a big rummbermaid type box with perlite. it seems to be going good, they are just small. not much longer than the size of my finger. if the the caps spread out a bit when the veil tears then i will be happy

I know soeone who has the same question.  His pf hawaiians are only 2 to 3 inches long and the caps are only dime sized.  There are about 40 on one cake. The veils are beginning to tear.  How can he get larger fruits?  What is the average size suppossed to be?

What's your air exchange and humidity? Without this info it's hard for us to give you input?

I find it really strange how so many small fruits topics have been cropping up lately. Back in the day I never used to hear about this but now it seems every week there is someone asking this question..

Is there something in the air?

Personally I believe the much fabled Planet X may be responsible.

Beware!

These people who are complaining about "Small Fruits" just need to step up to the plate and try the Poo/Straw tek..  After they try this they'll probably be asking "Why are my shrooms so damn big?"

has anyone else had this problem?  I mean when these fruits dry they are so small they barely resemble mushrooms!  Will casing pf cakes wth 50/50 make a difference in size?  I've heard good things about hawaiians so whats up?

I remember someone in the past having this problem as well. After he bumped up the humidity and air exchanges, everything started growing alot bigger and faster.
