Are they safe because there are alot of reports of poisonings and are there any ways to eliminate the poison and just leave the mucimol or whatever the active agent is. Also where can i find them because the other mushrooms cannot be found in my area other than these.

they are kinda safe... i think there chemical composition can vary so significantly its hard to say
i hear they arent a very good trip though, also im pretty sure in flys its the active chemical (the one that makes you trip) that is toxic - causes seizures or something in high doses
im not an expert though (they dont grow where i live), so dont try them till you get a more informed opinion

it depends on what you mean by safe. they are a species which in extreme over-dosage might kill you, and they can be pretty overbearing, but in reasonable amounts and if properly identified, they have an extremely long history of safe use.

Take them and boil them or cook them and the poison that is in them will diminish to almost nothing. I recommend making tea out of them. They ARE poisonous in large doses but the boiling of them in tea makes the poison nullified. I recommend 1/2 ounce in a 2L pitcher.

This just is and that's okay.

You cant boil them. the temp. is to high. you need to keep them at no more than 190 deg.http://www.erowid.org/plants/amanitas/amanitas_info_petri.shtml

My apologies. Heat them up as if you were making regular mushroom tea. This is my bad just bad vocab.

Making tea out of them will not diminish the mucimol. For me this is the least desirable way to ingest Amanita muscaria. The tea always makes me nauseous. Even when I use as little as 7 grams of muscaria to make the tea.

Cooking and eating them with something helps me get rid of the nausea (I boil and mix with ramen noodles, personally).
Ingesting any mushroom requires a 100% positive i.d. (especially an Amanita!) and A. muscaria can be tricky to correctly identify, as there are common lookalikes. I wouldn't eat any pre-dried by someone else (i.e. purchased on the internet) but that's up to you. Be safe and have fun.
