I really liked your ideas, and I hope you don't leave because of a bunch of assholes who have nothing better to do than ridicule new ideas instead of trying them out for themselves. i, for one, would like to thank you for your contributions and encourage you to stick around. i haven't exactly scoured the threads for this criticism you speak of, but there has been a good deal of praise directed toward you. as far as people trying to cut you and your ideas down, it's simply in the nature of ignorant and insecure people to lash out at someone being held up as an example of a good guy. i emplore you, please don't let the actions of a few assholes drive you from a place where your presence is genuinely appreciated. if the fools who were cutting you down had even bothered to read your posts regarding the information you've presented and the praise you've received, they would have recognized that you were very humble about it and clearly stated that many of your ideas were based on what you'd learned from others. almost any "idea" anybody will ever have is. you didn't make any claim that i read reffering to your ideas as totally original except for your humidification idea, which WAS a very original and good idea for the use of perlite.

anyway, i don't really have any business speaking on behalf of anyone but myself here, but it seems to me that those of us who are truly interested in learning and experimenting with these sorts of things really appreciate your presence (however brief) and input very much and would like you to stick around. the posts of the nay-sayers and critics (the rude ones, that is) in this situation just like any other are not worth paying attention to because odds are they will never contribute anything valuable or meaningful. just like in all walks of life, their opinions and their methods of sharing them are counter-productive and should be disregarded.

it's first thing in the morning, so i hope that made sense... if not, here it is in a nutshell: most of us like having anyone here who takes an active and positive interest in this stuff and would like you to stay.

Well, it's been said above and I agree. Intelligent, humble and honest people are the rare gem around here sometimes. If you don't stick around, or how bout just coming back with a different name, then we get to keep you, but bullshit will not be directed at a new intelligent "newbie", hopefully. or if not, Good journey.

Hummm, Rip dont this sound a little like the conversation we had about this topic? We, the ones who truly come here to learn want and need people like you to introduce new teks and so on.... Like I said there is always people ready to trash your ideas weather it be in a crowd of 10 people or a crowd of a few thousand.....theres just more in larger crowds =) You know where i stand on this and I hope you see where the ones who really count stand as well.
