Re: Liquid Mycelium/cakes container idea.
    #92194 -

I have been working on this vary problem, read my post below titled 'Honey Mycellium Experiment in Progress' My idea does involve a cheap corking device from the local brewstore that cost about 7 or 8 dollars and a drill, yet seems to be working great. A tube of silicon glue will still run you three of four dollars so it is still reasonable. I have tons of growth in mine and the needle of the syringe can easily be inserted and withdrawn without problems. Take it easy

You can just do what I do:
instead of dealing with a large jar, which if it gets fucked with, its all or nothing..
instead I take many sterilized syringes, put about 1 or so cc of spore solution in them, and then suck up the honey water.. works likc a charm.. make sure you have a little air in there though, so you can shake it better...
if you lose one to two syringes, so what.. if you lose enough for 30 syringes.. then the shit has hit the fan

Impressed as well, DinoMyc. Thanks for input. Simple, yet probably pretty effective.
Peace

In fact why not leave 1 cc of spore solution in every syringe used and suck up your favourite liquid medium.

Stroke of Genius!
Bravo Dino!!

Wow, also a good idea burple. Very simple sterile process, the only chance it would have of getting contaminated is if the needle wasn't sterile(assuming you know how to effectively sterilize a jar of liquid substrate), and that can be easily taken care of by flame.
