I guess I am the only one that makes any sense of this.

Take acsetic practice for what it is, as the op mentioned; in consideration of the nervous system, not as an absolute or middle path.

Fear and sex,
Death and procreation. In secular terms this is what drives us, i think we all can agree. Its trying to be real with this fundamental energy, at the cost of certain liberties. To the extent that we are hung up on sex and death, I have found ascetic practice to be useful, much in the same way as I would consider hallucinogens. Not the truth, but useful...

If your repressed or feel you must literaly compromise with reality, there is a "reasonable" perspective of grounding this in terms of utility (your tool).  I'll be the first one to admit this can get pretty dr strange love though.

Also this is just my own practice undoubtably, there are better methods.

But yea, to me what line says makes sense, and I've gotten results from this.

I'm not knocking the info whether right or not. It's the presentation. As if it's all just proven fact and this is what we should be doin.

No it felt like I was being preached at. I just have a hang up about that.

Lines,

I didn't want to indicate that I was speaking for the form as a whole, but maybe in primative. Did you formulate this presentation yourself? It really struck me; simple and to the point. What is clear to me, something I have found out myself more than read, is that you begin in ascetic (how can you not?), and go from there.

So you indicate that it is not necessarily ascetic, and I agree in speculation at least. How and at what point though? I'm interested to hear more in general, if you have anything more to say.

Note: And what I meant by ascetic is any method of literal restraint, sexual continence being one of these.

Women can experience spiritual awakening with brahmacharya as well as men.

According to hindus semen is a type of prana(life force) called veerya(veerya is known as the prana of pranas).

Women lose veerya as a result of orgasm. The veerya that women lose as a result of orgasm isn't ejected from their bodies in material form immediately after orgasm as is the case with men. Men have veerya ejected from their body immediately after the orgasm which is ejected in the form of semen.

Women lose veerya from their body in material form when they mentruate, but the veerya that is lost during menstruation is lost as a result of having orgasms. A women who practices brahmacharya will experience a change in her menstruation. A woman who practices brahmacharya will have less nutrients and hormones in her menstrual fluid when she menstruates as compared to a woman who doesn't practice brahmacharya. If a woman practices brahmacharya long enough she will eventually stop menstruating. The cessation of menstruation has been noted in various asian cultures.

So a woman benefits from brahmacharya but some women don't realize this because they experience their loss of veerya in material form once a month and so they don't connect their loss of material veerya to the orgasms they had because the material veerya wasn't ejected from the body immediately upon the orgasm.

Some people inaccurately believe that because veerya is lost by women in the menstruation that women should not bother practicing brahmacharya. What needs to be understood is that women lose veerya in their menstruation and that veerya is in their menstrual fluid as a result of having sexual orgasms. Some people do not realize that veerya is in menstrual fluid due to sexual orgasms. Women certainly do benefit from brahmacharya.

Well when I said its not necessarily ascetic I meant that it is not an act o denying the body of something. Its actually the opposite because it involves holding within the body something that is nourishing.

Another piece of information I have is that upon practicing brahmacharya on may experience wet dreams. The content of the semen in a wet dream does not contain the same hormones and nutrients as a voluntary orgasm. The semen of a wet dream is slightly clear and gooey but not milky white as a voluntary orgasm is and this indicates that the chemical composition is different.

Eventually the wet dreams stop though.

One can remember more childhood memories through brahmacharya and one can remember ones dreams better through brahmacharya. Lucid dreaming is easier whilst practicing brahmacharya.

Brahmacharya helps provide a blissful state during meditation too. I notice that "contanct tripping" where people feel like a little like they are on acid when next to someone on acid(which is probably due o being exposed to chemicals secreting from the trippers body via the air) is similar to what people feel when in the presence of experienced meditators. Experienced meditators practice brahmacharya.

Yes I am hindu however I don't view hindu scriptures in a dogmatic way. I don't view myself as being a tool of scriptures, rather I view those scriptures as a tool of mine.

So when you say "Experienced meditators practice brahmacharya", do you actually mean that one is not an experienced meditator unless they follow your way? Hah.

Hey, look at that, meditator isn't a real word apparently.  Who knew?

Are you extrapolating from your personal experiences here, or have there been rigorous scientific studies demonstrating a difference in semen content?

If the latter, I'd be more inclined to believe it.

 why would you request scientific data on this? anyone can tell you a wet dream isn't all... gooey, and therefore at least probably lacks protein content...
