I say learn one thing, every moment is perfect and you should never fight any moment, even death. And after you have learned that, pack a bowl the night before, and go to sleep with it right next to you. Take a recording on your cellphone that says "SMOKE DMT" and set it as your alarm, put the bowl and the lighter right next to your bed, in reaching distance from where you are lying. Once you hear the alarm and before you are fully awake, smoke the DMT. Since your brain secretes DMT when you sleep, it will be the perfect time since you will still have some DMT in your brain, and you will just plunge back in your dream, while being awake.

No it was a hypothesis presents in Rick Strassman MD's book "DMT: The Spirit Molecule" Then propagated into false fact by people like Joe Rogan and Graham Hancock.

I still believe that your brain does excrete DMT, I read that you can find it in your pee the next morning, in very low trace amounts.
I still say, even if it is false, try the method, it might be easier to handle if you woke up to a certain state of consciousness.

Just cuz its found it your pee doesn't mean it was involved in sleep or dreaming. It means to was a part of everyday metabolism. And hey maybe it does, im just saying science can't prove it as of now.

I'm not a big fan of DMT first thing in the morning, but, different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Only done DMT myself about 8 - 10 times. Am growing more comfortable with the experience, and much less anxious beforehand. Still...I never do it on a "whim" and almost always after meditating, calming and clearing my mind. My last thought is almost always..."Show me what you want me or need me to see" or something akin to that.
I've followed the recommendation of others of a modestly or indirectly (day)lit room, and find comfort in that setting.
You are, of course, free to do as you see fit. Why not try it and report back?

Smiling really works!! It's unbelievable, but the second you turn your face into a grin, it's like all the positive energy you have inside you spills out and colors the whole experience.

That's an interesting idea, I'm going to have to try that. I have the most horrible time waking up in the morning, and if I can just hear an alarm and reach over and try to smoke some, hit the trip, and then come out of it... that would most likely be the best waking sensation EVER.
And while yes the idea that DMT is pumped out while you're sleeping, or dreaming, or in REM is not factual. Or, at-least has not been proven yet. But, I find it wildly interesting how for the first couple to few weeks after smoking DMT I will have very intense/real dreams. So intense, that I will wake up not remember a thing, but the sensation of what the dreams made me feel. Either anxious, scared, happy, loved, aroused, anything. Almost with a Fight-Club insomnia type of Deva-Vu. I feel as if I was living, thrown into some type of situation, or problem. Definitely makes me wonder what DMT's relation to dreaming is all about.

I do the exact same thing, I believe,"Show me anything and everything that you want to teach me."
I don't look at DMT as an actual being, or real place, but I have more respect for it than any being. If you respect the spice it will show you so much.
Funny, one of my close friends at one time was smoking DMT 2-3 every other day or something close to that. And eventually one of his trips included a bunch of "beings" criticizing him, punishing him, telling him that it is not a toy, asking him what the fuck he was doing... it scared the shit out of him. Now he is much more meditative, and only uses it for personal development.
