Wow. That's what I call a successful hunt. Beautiful pictures. That surf looks stirred up, I've never seen a coastline look like that...very cool, thanks for sharing.

I'm glad you all enjoy the pics. I manicured the stem bases and brewed a tea out of the little mycelium clumps yesterday... Very enjoyable, visual, and potent.
I can't wait to get back out. Lots of pins that were left to mature. And more rain on the way, colder temps. Really, it was still a little dry out there.
I love the PNW.

Nice finds, I was out the same day picking gourmets! Choice picks for sure man. The aminitas are like wild fire out there  nice to see people still have the balls to hit the north J as well, heavier policing, but damn if those mushrooms just grow bigger up north. Happy trails!

Crazy, I ran into some kids from Tahoe that were headed out as I pulled up to 'my' spot and they seemed really bummed. We shared a bowl and they said that they hadn't found anything 'that bruised blue' and they were headed further south. Not an hour later I had picked all those Azures fifty yards from where we were standing.
I had a Coast Guard Heli fly low directly over me and I decided it was time to leave.
I saw a couple groups picking gourmets... Big woven baskets, groups of people, said 'hello.' That wasn't you was it?
For sure, the amount of Amanita out there is silly. That be the South, btw.

No you would def. know who I was...Id appear to be one of those normal folk, and ask if you had any luck. let you know what I have found, then talk magic. I've made people dump bags out there picking galerinas or whatever sickness. ahh ignorance never fails to amaze me tho. Good luck on the future hunts!
