where i live in oklahoma, they keep cows mostly in open feilds and temps are up to 100 deg. around here.. would it still be good to hunt in an open feild after a rain?? or would u want to try to go for a feild with trees and cows??

hmmm, i haven't read the faq with the idea of hunting in oklahoma, so.... i would say, if the temps are in the hundreds, and it hasn't really been raining much (has it?) you're luck is prolly gonna be shit. i would definitely go for the fields with cows and trees, though. it's hard to say where any particular mush will be. i dont think you'll be getting any cubies. you'd want to focus on panaeolus. if it's really hot, your onnly chance is gonna be under those trees, where it may be a little cooler. i have found mushrooms in texas and louisiana in extreme heat in august, so it can be done. try in the shade. i really dont know what species you might find tho. research is up to you.... peace
