You can either prepare grain spawn and spawn some pasteurized straw and/or dung, case that, OR inoculate modified dung containing PF tek substrate directly with spores and crumble and case after colonized.

From BJ:
"Hello!!!
This technique has always worked for me:
Mix:
5 cups vermiculite
3 cups manure
10 tblspns BRF
1.5 - 1.75 cups water
(makes 10-12 half pints)

Fill your canning jars, sterilize, and innoculate via the PF tek method. Once your substrate is fully colonized, case with 50/50 and a little lime. Since the manure is already added to your substrate, their is no need to spawn with manure and risk contamination. Just place your cased substrate into your humidity chamber and watch them grow! Give this a try and let me know what you think!!!!"

This is the formula a friend of a friend uses;

2 2/3rd's Cup of Composted Cow Manure
2 2/3rd's Cup of Organic Brown Rice Flour
2 2/3rd's Cup of Bottled Drinking Water
8 Cups of Vermiculite

Use 1/2 pint jars, with one hole in each lid
Use the Ramsey Vermiculite Seal Technique
Use Two Coffee filters around the lids

Pressure cook for 1 hour at 15psi

After taking the jars out of the cooker,
-Put each jar into a zip-lock baggie.

Don't forget to let the spores sit in the syringe for at least 24 hours,
And let them sit for at least 3-4 days if using a honey water technique...

Good luck,
GG

In reply to:

Why not just create a grow log instead? I know I am curious to see the results, and I'm sure others are as well. Just my 2 cents.
