 Extremely dark green shrooms

A friend gave me a huge ass bag of mushrooms and the stems on all of them are completely DARK green. The caps are dark green on the bottom just like the stems but as it goes to the top of the cap it goes into a darker then lighter tan color. Are these completely molded shrooms? My friend had them in his fridge and they were all wet and frozen so I dried them out with a blow dryer. He said he ate them and they were really potent and he didnt get sick. Are they safe to eat? Are they molded or just really potent? I am new to this... I will post pics tonight

If its green it sounds like trich and you should throw them away.
Are you sure they are not blue?, If its blue, they are fine. Eat them up.

What is trich? I cant get shrooms out here so I really dont want to throw em out. My buddy ate like 3 of them whole and he was fine. I just am being cautious.

Ok so here they are. The really dark parts are actually REALLY dark green not black. My camera sucks. My buddy ate these and got high and didn't get sick. Are they ok? What is trich? They are still wet because they were in a freezer and they are still drying...

dude that is some >>>FUNKED<<< up stuff. Yeah it's either a bad mold like trich or it's been dried/drying improperly - which may be the case, as you're saying they're in the freezer, then thawing pout, etc. Do that to a regular store bought mushroom and the same thing will happen.
Personally I wouldn't eat those shrooms there that you took pics of. In the shroom culture green is BAD, contrary to what Gordon Gecko said. I think that was greed though might be wrong. At any rate if you do eat them i would have poison control on speed-dial.

I read that if they mold up like this, then you can dry them out to the point where they are so dry they just crack apart. This way the mold wouldn't hurt you. I sound desperate because I am. Shrooms do not come through here EVERRRR..... I really would hate to toss em... Ne ideas?

yeah order a spore syringe from a vender of the shroomery and grow them for yourself and you wont have to worry about nasty moldy shrooms.

They have turned black. I have no way or time to grow anything. Damn... thx neways guys

Any of you actually caught that these were FROZEN?
They look fine for thawed out cubes. I do not think this is mold, I think the color is mostly Psylocybe bruising on top of usual tissue decay.
They should be safe unless they smell nasty or get covered with slime.
You probably wont have too high of a potency in them after a while because freezing punctures cell walls and exposes all the good stuff to air once it thaws. Next time when you get frozen stuff, keep it frozen.

Damn, yea they were smelling DANK as hell. I think if i would have dried them out really fast when they thawed they would have been fine. They were also really slimey after because i didn't dry em out. I wasted soo many of them... darn

Yeah that slime is probably some kind of bacteria. I wouldnt eat them.
