I do not know much about them but what I have read they seem helpful for making prints and inoculations. but a few facts and ways to make/buy one would be very helpful.
I appreciate any input.

Buy rubbermade tub. Cut 2 holes in it for your hands. Clean it out w/ alcohol before using and put the lid on. Wash hands, put on latex gloves, wash with alcohol.
That's basically it.. If you wanna get all fancy you attach gloves to the inside of it, but that's really not necessary.. All you're aiming for is a still-air environment..

i used both glove boxes and still air. I prefer the still air easier to work with and the same results if not better.

Man, all your trying to do is make an environment that has no airflow that is as sterile as possible. It's really not that hard. Use common sense, and you'll do it right.

I don't want to go into details right now. but just look at these pics and you'll get the idea on how easy it was to make this... It cost me under 30.00.
Glove Boxes are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT when it comes to inoculations, agar work, print making, liquid cultures among other things. Still Air is your best friend during these procedures. I could go on and on about sterile procedures, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Save the alcohol for cleaning your hands with gloves on and wiping jar lids. Simpley clean out glovebox with soapy water and leave the walls wet. Still air inside the glovebox will allow contaminants to fall to the floor and stay there. Leaving the walls and floor wet further helps keep contaminants out of the air.
My glovebox is a big clear plastic storage container with 2 badly cut holes for arms. I went from 90% mould contamination to 100% success.
