Did anyone else think about ordering any firearms before the elections?
I have a feeling if Obama wins, we won't be able to own the guns soon.

Im gonna keep my ears open, and when he supports legislation banning 'scary' looking guns, ill go buy some 'scary' looking guns.

No one would be stupid enough to take away our guns...just restrict the hell out of them, then charge everyone with "scary guns" with something else. Then take the guns. I mean, convicted felons shouldn't have guns, right?

This "scary" looking gun is a .223 caliber weapon. Guns like this have been banned in many places before because they are considered "assault rifles".
Either way I can still own a .308 magnum rifle in places that ban AR guns. A .308 has a longer range, more force and a hell of a lot more killing power.
I'll alter my question, would you support a candidate that wants to ban weapons such as this because of a label , "assault rifle", while more powerful and dangerous weapons (such as hi-power hunting rifles) are still allowed?

Actually convicted felons can have their right to own arms restored. The Congress, however, tells the BATFE to ignore and deny all the requests to have rights restored.
Therefore, you can apply to have your rights restored but they will always get denied. Even if your felony was something like fraud or a business related matter (non-violent felonies etc).

Hehe, nice video.
But I don't trust the NRA much more than I trust Obama.
When I lived in Virginia there was a case when a guy shot an intruder in his house late one night.
The intruder (a convicted felon, break-ins, robbery etc) lived but was seriously injured. He also had a gun on him.
The man who protected his family got time in jail for........... firing a firearm in a residential area.
I guess according to the law he was supposed to let his family get hurt?
Around that same time another guy broke into a house and slipped and fell on a wet floor. He sued and the family that owned the home had to pay his medical bills.
WTF?

I don't think THAT much will happen to our gun laws. They are a pretty powerful lobby. Presidents don't even have that much power anyway. Often they find when they get into office they don't have as much power as they like, without it trickling through all the governmental levels. For example, if Obama said "legalize weed" right after he got elected nothing would change.
It also depends on where you live. States with big cities tend to have stricter gun laws, such as NY and CA.
