Really looking forward to seeing this movie. When has a Terminator film ever been a disappointment?

the terminator show was slow and crappy at first, but second season was pretty good. it got canceled so it won't be bugging you any longer lol, but the show did have a decent fan base, better than dollhouse lol and that show is way more awful than terminator yet it got renewed
the one thing i hate tho, is the trailers that have been released have shown WAY to much of this movie, in my opinion all we needed was a picture of christain bale putting a bullet into a tinman's head and the release date. instead ive already figuered out the entire plot of the movie because of all the dialogue they have shown, which really sucks because now im just left with cgi and filler

You never enjoyed the third one?
Its definitely the worst film out the trilogy but is still a film worth watching!

yah its worth watching but, it clearly shows how terrible arnold is as a actor....or it portrays how good of a robot he makes. and the enemy terminator is 100x worse than arnold so yah and john connor must be the worst person they could have picked to play him, and then the stupid love story. the whole film is just corny

terminator 3
I personally couldn't stand the third either. I grew up watching T1 and T2 and being a pretty big Schwarzenegger fan (loved Predator, Running Man, Commando, etc). The third terminator was just awful IMO, didn't like the acting, didn't like the main character, and I didn't even like that evil bitch. I have high hopes for this one, so far reviews have been iffy.

terminator 3 sucked. it felt like a generic action flick. terminator movies are supposed to be epic. salvation looks pretty gritty and awesome. i love the monochrome-ish looking color.
i really hope they do some good storytelling though like they did in 1 and 2 and that this isn't just a special effects movie...

Alright.
I just saw it.
I disagree with Rotten Tomatoes.
The special effects are awesome- this is true. But, contrary to what RT claims, I think it has plenty of heart. I tried to consider it as its own movie, not trying to constantly compare it to T1 and T2, and as a whole I was pleased with the movie.
There were some parts they could have rounded out better, and some really cheesy parts, and it was unnecessarily loud, but overall I'd say its worth seeing.

Eh... the ending sucked, it was inattentive to the previous material, and I felt like I could stick a woolly mammoth through some of the plot holes. If it was portrayed as "action," I would let that slide; however, sci-fi warrants some believability.
I have high hopes for Terminator tho!

Doesn't it mean the previous material never happened because time was changed by that ship going back in time?
Or rather, the previous material still happens, but the events in the movie take place in an alternate timeline/dimension.

I was referring more to the strange scenes of Spock making out randomly and Kirk's insubordination without any real consequences. The whole thing just seemed really hokey. I guess what I mean is the movie did not garner the seriousness of the previous series. That being said, the whole time travel thing seemed really contrived and worn-out so I don't consider that an excuse to wipe clean the sheer perplexity of the movie.

nevermind teh timeshift, how could this happen if this has happened bullshit, i would just like to make one point.(spoiler alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) that should be enough exclaimaation points to deter any die hards, so heres my take. if your gonna haave John Connor, the leader of the resistance and your only true threat led to your factory of super robots of annialation, dont you think you can spare more then one robot to dispatch of him once he is there? Fuck logic and put your faith in Ahnold. p.s. for those of you who arent detered by the !!!!!"s please dont give bad ratings... you were warned.

Yeah I saw it. It was really good in my opinion. Better than the 3rd one, but probably not as good as the 2nd one.
The special effects were great, and Sam Worthington kicked ass, but the storyline wasn't as great as I thought it'd be.

terrible movie, dont waste your time if you enjoy a good movie. I liked #1 the best, but #2 comes in close second. #3 to me was just OK
this one is awful. plot holes. no character development. little dialogue. very few lines for bale....and im huge bale fan.
terrible movie nonetheless.

*Spoiler*
His Dad was still a teenager in this movie, he doesn't send him back in time until he's a lot older. So if they make sequels to this then they will show when he sends kyle reece back in time. Obviously kyle didn't knock up sarah connor when he was just a teenager LOL
