Substituition for Thailand Koh?
    #917676 - 09/29/02 09:36 PM (14 years, 9 months ago)

I'm a newbie as I've said before. I want to order from thelittleguy as he is giving a free mazatapec with every order and its in my neck of the woods. Thailand koh has been the #1 newbie recommended but its out of stock. Is there any other "easy to grow, forgiving" strain that will give me some fat results? Thanks for any input. Oh yeah, is the ramsey seal really necessary, or can I just fill the top 1/2" with dry vermiculite?

Peace and Happy Trails,
San Tropez

I think you'll like the Ecuador strain.

Just go with the plain verm layer. I've had no problems with it. The ramsey seal seems like a waste of effort to me.

Nope Derrayld, the "ramsey seal" involves adding a layer of foil inside the jar.

The ramsey seal is the verm layer, some teks suggest using a foil reservoir and fill that with vermiculite.
It's just a variation of one tek.
Unless ofcourse I`m wrong, then I`ll bow out gracefully

The Ramsey Seal is the technique of adding a foil layer in addition or around the plain verm layer.  Here is the info...  The Ramsey Seal

It's also mentioned in the  Simple Cubensis Growing Tek

Take your bow Derrayld
