I wouldn't suggest smoking right now. If it's scabby you're open to infection.

Last year I bunned when I felt strep throat coming on, then i walked around outside in the cold for a good two hours. The next month I had a throat infection, and it wasn't fun.

Why not ask the doctor about it? Not the specific drug, but just say you're wondering how long it'll be before you could smoke cigs :wink:
