Is a magic bullet autoclavable?

I was thinking about using a magic bullet to make mycelium syringes out of colonized petris, has anyone had any experience with this?
Do you think the blender/cup part would stand up to sterilizing?

-Thanks

Probably would. I've heard good things about the magic bullet and mycology.

I don't know about in an autoclave...I'm sure it would in a PC, but not sure about in one of those things. You would probably have to read up on it, or call them.

That might work. I'm not sure what that housing is made of though.
I've been using an Osterizer Blender Blade on regular mouth mason jars. Search for the 9er tek on the main site. TvCasualty at topia drops pf cakes into sterilized half pints with a bit of water in them to make a mycelium slurry with the same setup. He uses the slurry to inoculate quart grain jars. It works great and 1 half pint inoculates a shitload of quart jars. eatyualive turned me on to that method.

You got me interested in this, so I did a search.
I found this in the faq: http://www.buythebullet.com/faq.php#faq4
If it can't take the heat of a dishwasher it definitely won't PC.

Wait a minute, according to the faq it says:
Q: Is it OK to put the Magic Bullet in the dishwasher?
A: ...All of THE BULLETâ„¢ Cups, blades, Party Mugs, lids and lip rings are dishwasher safe...The only thing that cannot go in the dishwasher is the Magic Bullet power base.
So for what I am thinking of using it for (PCing the cup/blade thing while full of water, then transferring it to my GB and then putting a colonized agar plate in and chopping it up until I have a nice mycelium water mixture for use in syringes) it should work... I just can't put the motor base thing in the PC.
Due to my varying results with LCs, and my excellent results with agar culture, I am thinking that's the way to go...
I guess I'll let youall know how it goes if I decide to get one of those things...

Did you read this part tho?
Q: It says everything is dishwasher safe, why did my cups come out deformed after I put in the dishwasher?
A: As mentioned in your User Manual, you should always wash the cups on the top shelf of you dishwasher. It's very likely that you have your dishwasher set to sanitize mode which uses extreme heat to clean the contents of the dishwasher. Most dishwashers have several settings that use less heat than sanitize, reduce the setting and always put your bullet cups on the top shelf.

Crap...
Do you think if I just soaked the cup/base in alcohol or something and then used sterilized water that would be sterile enough???

I've used my blender to crumble cakes and mix them with coir... I just wash the blender and wipe with alcohol before use.

I'd probably opt for bleach-soaked water.. Then maybe spray w/ alcohol just before use which will evap. quickly.

LOL, they didn't even bother to make it out of something other than a reasonably high temp thermoplastic. Cheap bastards.
I bet I could break the cup w/ my bare hand.
