Mirtazapine + Mushrooms = No Effect

So... I've eaten 4 grams of cubensis. Not even remotely close to tripping. I'm on 30mg of mirtazapine a night to help me sleep... the VA doesn't give out hypnotics so this off-label use is what I'm left with.
It really fucking sucks. My wife is tripping her ass off and I'm not even buzzed really. So for the books, remeron/mirtazapine totally fucks tripping on shrooms.

Duly noted.
From wikipedia: "Mirtazapine is a potent antagonist of 5-HT2 and 5-HT3 receptors." I think that there is the problem.

tiny bit off topic, but being someone that had a lot of issues with sleeping well, i would recommend trying other things before pharmaceuticals.
i dont mean to soung like a know-it-all, or a jackass, or that i'm getting in your business, i'm just offering a suggestion based on thinking it might help. and let you have a trip too.
on top of the natural things like valerian root, melatonin, 5-htp... ect, try things like eating healthier, and exercising daily. there is alot you can do. and dont expect an instant change, give it some time. meditation and breath work can be a big help too, if its about quieting down your mind.
