I had wet spot bacteria once too in a few jars.
I threw them out though.
But when I opened the bad jars, FUCK!!!!!!!
It smelled like death,
like made me wanna hurl.

I wouldnt want to eat mushrooms that were grown on that rotting mess.

I mean that shit smells!!!!

Once upon a time, in a dream, i saw B+ take over a light green mold in a jar, then fruit. the fruits were dried and eaten with fruits from other cakes with no ill effects.

If you can identify the contaminant and it is something that is not toxic, it is probably fine to eat the shrooms. If you intend on casing them, i would let them sit for a while longer even after they look like they've colonized completely (the contamed parts and all) to make sure there is no foreign spores or cells from the contam. When you open the jar, smell it. if it smells like wholesome shroomy goodness, you're probably ok. if not, well, you decide if you want to eat anything that smells like that.

good luck
