post inoculation

right after inoculation...is it better too keep the lids on tight when incubating or loosley...?

My buddy says he leaves his on tight, but he does have 4 innoculation holes that seem to povide adequate air exchange, he also uses 2 coffee filters per jar to act as a contamination barrier. Good Luck
