Like a few of the strange rangers here at the Shroomery, I don't want my identity known. I had 4 ml of Morphine last night intravenously for the first time for a medical emergency.
It was nice but I have had a Morphine hangover all day. I didn't know it did that to you. I feel slow and sluggish and I have slept off and on all day. How long will this last?

Good question. No, the injury was very temporary and was healed with anti-inflammatory drugs. This grogginess is lasting a long time. I don't like it.

maybe blame the other drugs? the morphine is definitely a possibility if you are sensitive to it or you got absolutely blasted, it doesn't agree with some people. I just question whether or not it is the morphine adversely affecting you this way because i have never experienced this sort of reaction. if you still feel like shit tomorrow, i'd look for another cause.

Opiates are not physically harmful to you (unless you overdose). The only negative side-effects (besides constipation) come from the sedentary lifestyle they tend to encourage.
As to popping 25 mgs of vic on a regular basis, he better be doing a coldwater extraction, because the APAP will eventually do a number on his liver.

It's highly unlikely the other drugs could have affected me that way. The only other one was an anti-inflammatory and they didn't give me much of it. As morphine is a depressant, I assume it would make a person groggy. After all, that was one of the first things it did. I wouldn't know if I am sensitive to it because I've never had it intravenously before.
I didn't get any contraindications like:
- shallow breathing, slow heartbeat
- seizure (convulsions)
- cold, clammy skin
- confusion
- severe weakness or dizziness; or
- feeling light-headed, fainting.
Or even milder contraindications like:
- constipation
- warmth, tingling, or redness under your skin
- nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite
- dizziness, headache, anxiety
- memory problems; or
- insomnia.
Nor did I experience any withdrawal symptoms like:
- restlessness
- lacrimation
- rhinorrhea
- yawning
- perspiration
- goose flesh
- restless sleep
- mydriasis
- twitching and spasms of muscles
- kicking movements
- severe aches in the back, abdomen, and leg
- abdominal and muscle cramps
- hot and cold flashes
- insomnia
- nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhea
- coryza
- severe sneezing
- increases in body temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and heart rate
I just got groggy and it has been wearing off throughout the course of the day.
I guess I got lucky.

being groggy the day after strong opiates is completely normal.
a day after poppy tea i will sleep on and off. it's pretty annoying, but a good way to waste a day- aside from nodding. hell i even get that way the day after a nice dose of codeine.

I've never tried it but the 2 friends of mine who did morphine hated it. One said it made her throw up and feel like shit and the other just said it was very uncomfortable and not at all like the nice 'high' that oxys gave.
