AM I CONTAMINATED!

Heya. I was wondering if one of my jars is contaminated. On the bottom of the jar where there is only a little bit of subtrated still showeing(thats isnt white), there is a dark yellow color that almost resembles rust. Any clues?

Its hard to tell with no picture but it may be a contam. Mycelium gives of a light yellow "waist" sometimes but its never rust colored. Rust is generally brown-red and you said yellow so it could be anything.....

Give a better discription! Does it have some sort of texture? Does it look like a liquid or so something growing on the substrate?

Oh and for future reference post this sort of question in the contaminants forum!

If you jar's substrate was alittle wetter, it may just be the mycellium taking it over, gives sorta of a yellow dirtish color. GL
