Injecting Water into my Cakes - yay or nay?

Ok, my kitty has some pf tek cakes that are starting to pin, and she was wondering if she should maybe inject them with a few ccs of water? They look a little dry, and I'm just thinking about maxing out her crop. She'll dunk them after the first flush, but I'm wondering if she should maybe inject them. Its her first time, and frankly, we're both amazed that she finally has some nice 2 inch tall mushies. She's got several cakes, so maybe I'll just test one of them this way? Thoughts from the collective?

Thanks for the advice. I think think I'll just be cool and let them flush and start the dunking procedure.

How about cakes that were birthed last night and have no pins on them yet - good idea to dunk them for 24 hours even tho they've been out for a day?

wont they get contamed? if you need water, why not spray the sides of the fruiting tank? :confused:
