Ha, well you obviously dont know my situation nor can i expect you to even understand. Perhaps if you clicked on my THREADS and read a bit im sure you'd see that in the past, i've sucsessfully grown off corn substrates, but recently have had fail with a variety of grains, and LC's despite pressure cooking, gloveboxes and all that awsome sterile technique. The LC's havent been contamed but havent done anything. Can't get it to grow in agar solution either, perhaps bunk spores.
But yeah. Just figuer a presteralized jar from a repubtable supplier will have better success..
Just becasue i dont post alot doesnt mean i havent done this alot and i wont make fun of you for trying to be smug

Go ahead. I apologize for my lack of extensive research on your background prior to my response. From now on I will read every thread ever posted by every person I ever intend to respond to.
Anyway, I have never bought anything from them, unless they are the ones associated with Spores101... (sorry, I'm not doing the research) If they are, don't. They kinda screwed me. Go with someone else like Sporeworks. Those guys have sweet deals, are fast, and generally rock. Buy from them.

Yes, mushbox is associated with spores101, MY spores were from spores 101 and were more jammed full of spores than ANY other spores i've ever had in my entire life from them. I was ABSOLUTELY sure it was gonna be a good grow, then PHAIL.
I will get my supplies from sporeworks
peace
i bet its offly shroomy in gondwanaland

It is!

My experience has been just the opposite. My Sporeworks syringes have always had large masses of visible spores in them. And when I actually got my syringes from 101, they were not that way. Sporeworks had a deal over Christmas where for $30 you got all sorts of goodies, and they sell syringes for $10 a pop, provided you don't care about strain.
Anyway. Keep at the WBS thing. Shit luck happens to everyone in everything. Persistence is the key. I guess if a rye jar from someone, that yields success ( no matter how gay that is ) keeps you in the game, then that's okay by me.
Just fucking with you.

hahahahaha fo sho, you see my master plan with the rye jar is to make some RR style LC's even though he hates lc's lol. You know the one where he injects a syringe full of steralized water into a colonized grain jar, sucks up the deliscious myc juice and inoculates a phat pile of steralized awsome.
Im thinking about contacting spores101 about this not happy order, but the time elapses between the order and now is at least 3 months.

I dig.. Blood4Blood had an Agar tek today that was pretty much exactly what you're talking about. I had seen similar things before by Magash and whatnot, but Agar's thing is so simple. He's good at that. Here it is if you care. So yeah.. like I told Blood4 this was just in time for me. I hope I don't jack it up!
Spores101, I waited 2 months for a pan syringe that never came, and when I finally got back to them, they said they'd give me my money back, or a new syringe, and I said syringe. I haven't gotten it either. My address is good, and everything with that is kosher. Except......
Whatever.

Yeah i sent them an email tonight, its been 4 months since the order so if they do anything or not is up in the air, one can only hope before i switch to sporeworks or raphlester.

spores101 just changed their syringe source due to all the bad feedback. I can assure you all, that the quality of their products is going to drasticly change now that the person making them now knows what the fuck they are doing.

wow.. you hella got butthurt...
If you are serious about mycology, even just as a hobby, you sterilize your own grain... why over pay for something you can make? If it didnt work for you, then you did something wrong, cause it works for everyone else...
good luck;)

Ummm............ DUdeman, I dont think you get it.
I will overpay for something i can make BECASUE i havent had luck recently. Not only does it work for everyone else, but it was WORKING for me up until this last batch of spores. I just assumed everything that went wrong was with my prepartion and the best way of finding out would be to order some pre-steralized jars.
AFter further research into the forums and OTHER internet forums i find i was not hte ONLY person who had problems in the recent months with them. Spores 101 will always be one of my favorite-easy-to-work-with companies, so what if i get some bunk syringes, If i just bitch and flame nothing will get accomplished, But as you can see, indirectly bringing them up has solved the problem FOR ME..
THus reading between the lines
Have an nice day sir

Ha, a bad experience would be more usefull than just 2 thumbs down, you could elaborate i suppose :O.
I'll see how spores 101 does with this whole ordeal, if it doesnt get taken care of then the move to raphelster will happend. Its nothing against spores 101, I love the company, Its just buisness, and i aint doing great....
I thought about sporeworks becasue of a syringe my friend used in some agar i had that worked magnificintly the entire time i was having "big fat phailure".
This post is TOOO Far off topic and will SOON belong in the vendor section, Can i request this thread closed?

Lets just say the one syringe I got from sporeworks could have made 10 spores101 syringes. & Mushbox is just a rip off unless you don't have the time to make you own subs & what not and wanna pay up the ass

aight, i can understand that, and thats acutally not the first time i've heard something along those lines here about the ammount of spores per syringe. I think they are working on changing all that.
I understand what you are all saying about the pre-steralized substrate blab blah blah make it on your own. I do make it on my own, usually with popcorn, rye, or i do a honey LC. I just think it would nice to have a jar that is to be Known 100% sterile inside to make sure my results aren't mearly from some wierd change in proceedure that hasnt happend. So basicly i will use the jar as a CONTROL in a big experiement.
Yes i do agree the price is high for the substrates, and if it doesnt reflect the quality THEN i will have a problem, but as for now id rather not make any assumptions.

Just to let you all know, my buddy got some stuf from mushbox. He bought a PRESTERILE RYE BAG, it was WBS and had green mold in it. He also bought 24 PF tek jars. They were almost completely dry and several had mold in them. He contacted mushbox to see what they are going to do for him. I told him "should have made them yourself".

well i wouldn't suggest buying from mushbox anyways, they've been taken off of the list of shroomery sponsors. They also are known around here for sending out bad products and bad customer service. I say this because i unfortunately bought from them.
