Don't pretend to chalk up at school
    #9110371 - 10/21/08 03:16 PM (15 years, 5 months ago)

because some prick might report it. *Ahem* After lunch I threw my friend a Lifesavers mint (Wintergreen.) which he ended up dropping so it cracked into pieces. During class, he finally ate it and then threw the wrapper at me. The wrapper landed on my desk, and the little mint fragments dumped out, so being me, I pull out my license and begin crunching them up into a fine powder. I then proceed to make a line and snort it for laughs. I guess some cunt was watching my endeavor because the principals bust into my next class DURING a test, come to my desk, grab my stuff, and tell me to get into the hallway. I follow them out wondering what I was in trouble for. They pull me off into a vacant classroom and tell me to empty my pockets, ect... They stopped short of a full body cavity search, but they were pretty thorough. They ended up bringing me to the office where the drug officer was waiting. I had to tell my side of the story and everything. They said someone had reported it to the office because they were concerned of their "safety" and mine. Cock smoker. He also said they got a sample of the powder for analyzing. I told him to taste it, and that it would be minty haha. He declined tasting it, but said they were still going to test it. They told me to tell everyone they thought I had witnessed something, but of course when I got back I just blatantly said, "They thought I was doing cocaine". Everyone went o.O and wtf, but it was funny explaining it. My chemistry teacher got a laugh out of it. I can't wait to ask my computer class tomorrow who reported me. I find it amusing. The administration was probably disappointed that their excitement was over a simple piece of candy, and I walked out of his office laughing my ass off. *High five*

Tell me about it. Having long hair in a 99% Christian town doesn't help much either. They even asked how I knew to make a line once I proved my innocence. I just told them you see it in movies. I haven't done cocaine before either. Guess it's just instinct haha.

Not for snorting some candy necessarily, but for being reported, being completely innocent, and not getting in any trouble, yes.

If you can't even get away with snorting a mint lifesaver, how do you expect to get away with growing cannabis under your bed at your parents house?

You sound like you need a major lesson in common sense.

Back when I was in school, you could get in trouble for even pretending or making a joke about doing drugs.  I know a girl who got suspended for like 3 days because she borrowed her friend's Whiteout and made a joke about huffing it, which someone overheard.  Someone else got in trouble for keeping aspirins in a baggie.

Great, even harsher penalties for when you get caught.

My point is, use some common sense and stay out of trouble. Especially for when you start coming to us bragging about something that ridiculously stupid.

Btw, how did the lifesaver taste? :crazy2:

Dude, he was obviously hoping you'd be one of the goons that admits to being under 18 and gets banned.  If you're actually 18 and think railing a line of lifesavers is cool... well, I'd feel pretty sorry for your parents.

It was minty and refreshing haha. I going to inoculate a substrate bag, let it colonize, and then empty it into one of those underbed sterilite tubs for fruiting. I have tons of stuff under my bed so it's well hidden, but light still makes it under there, so I think they should do fine. I picked the S. African cubes since they looked like they grow short and stubby. Know of any other short/ stubby strains? Pictures on spore sites aren't much of a help usually.

I remember at school me and my friends got asked if we smoked MJ.  We all said "no" of course except for this one guy that just went off on one.  He started shouting "Fuck it, yeah I smoke hash and I don't give a fuck what you think"  It was funny cause this guy was just a nerdy kid that got pissed off with the teachers sticking their noses in.  Nothing ever happened about it - we still all continued to smoke.

Exaclty.

And to WakeboardrB, I have grown salvia in a tub in my room because I told my mom it was sage. I also have a 15 foot tall Hawaiian Baby Woodrose plant growing next to our garage. I just told my mom it's more specific name, elephant crepper, and that it blooms puruple flowers. She wants me to plant them over her arbor now since they will be pretty haha.

If it's english, literature, or an essay, no. I have good grammar, but I hate reading or writing. If it's math or science sure. History is a maybe.

The food chart involves keeping track of what you eat for five days.  You need to find the nutrient content of what you ate and then answer some questions.  For one day you are to keep track of your physical activity.  Here is a Example of what the food composition data might look like

There are a number of tools that I have put together to try to make this assignment easier for you.  You do not need to use any of these tools.  You do need to do the assignment.  The most important tool is a spreadsheet Calculator.  The spreadsheet probably contains more tabs than you can see at one time.  You can use the arrows to the left of the tabs to view more of them.  You should see five tabs at the extreme left that are labeled day 1 through day 5.  The following tabs are also present and are necessary to complete the assignment.  The are  : weekly averages, nutrient data, % calories, % daily value, activity calculator, activities and more activities. If you link to the spreadsheet you may be asked if you want to open it or to save it you your computer.  Select save.  If you open the document, enter data and then try to save you will need a password to save to the web server.  If you have the spreadsheet on your computer you will not need a password to save or manipulate the data.  More food composition data can be found Composition

The spreadsheet begins with 5 tabs labeled days 1 through 5.  For each item you eat you are to enter its name, the amount you ate , the number of calories it contained, the grams of protein, fat and carbohydrates in it.  You are also to record iron, calcium, vitamin A, Vitamin C and folic acid content.  You may get this information from any source you like.  You will notice that when you enter data the spreadsheet will automatically total the nutrients at the bottom of the page.  The data will also be transferred to the appropriate place on the weekly average tab.

A convenient place to obtain nutritional data is from the table labeled nutrient data.  This contains data for almost 500 foods.  You can simply cut and paste the information from the nutrient data tab to the day you are working on.  There are also links to much larger databases.  Sometimes you may find it is easier and close enough to substitute a food that is very similar to one that is hard to find data for.

The tab labeled % Calories takes data from the weekly average tab and automatically calculates what percentage of your calories were derived from fat, protein and carbohydrates.  It also graphs the data for you.  If you like you may perform the calculations yourself.  This data is the answer to one of the questions.

The activity calculator tab asks for your weight in pounds and asks you to enter a factor of either 11 or 12.  the default setting is  a factor of 12 indicating a male and a weight of 200 pounds.  Enter your weight and 11 if you are female or 12 if you are male.  You then are supposed to name an activity, a factor and the time in hours you performed the activity.  The calculator will determine how many calories you used up and add it to your other activities and to your BMR.  The concept of BMR is explained more fully in the weight loss lecture.  As is explained in this lecture the value you get for BMR by using a single factor is not very accurate.  It is close enough for this assignment.  If you want a better estimate you can find one at BMR Calculator

The factors you need for activities can come from a number of sources.  The spreadsheet has tabs labeled activities and more activities.  These contain the factors for about 400 activities.  If you can not find the exact activity chose one that is close in your opinion and use that factor. More details on BMR and activity calculations are Available

Answer the following questions:

1.      Does your dietary intake meet the RDA for your age group and sex?  If not, in what areas are you lacking?  What foods could you add to your diet to increase your consumption and bring you up to the RDA?

2      What foods in your diet are the major contributors of calories?  Protein?  Carbohydrate?  Calcium?  Iron?  Vitamin A? Folic acid? Vitamin C?  (Answer for all of these nutrients)

3.      What percentage of your calories was derived from each of the following:  From fat?  From protein?  From carbohydrate?

4.      If you wanted to lose one pound per week (approximately 3,500 calories), what changes would you make in your diet?  Do this even if you think you are too thin and do not eat enough as it is.

HINT!You should provide a list of foods and amounts that add up to 3500 calories. Find on the average 500 cal per day from what you eat now and delete it.  You don't really have to consume the resulting diet.  I want you to see what it would take for you to lose 1 pound per week by dieting.

5.      If you were to complete a food chart and find that you failed to meet the RDA in several categories, would this mean that you were headed for nutritional disorders? Explain briefly.

6.    Using the data supplied, approximate your caloric needs for a typical day. (Show calculations in your report  BMR + activity).  See  Question 6 for more information

7.    If you wanted to lose one pound (approximately 3,500 calories) per week, how could you accomplish this by exercising and not by altering your eating habits?

HINT!(Show calculations!) This should be a list of activities that use 500 cal per day that will be repeated each day for one week.  The total will equal 3,500 Kcal and will result in the loss of one pound of fat.

8.    There is much interest in low fat diets today. Put together three meals having a total calorie content of at least 1800 calories that has no more than 10% of the calories from fat. You do not need to have all of the foods have less than10% of their calories from fat, but the average should be 10% or less. Try to make this something you might actually consider eating. (Show data and calculations)  HINT:Start with your day that has the lowest % of calories from fat and make substitutions or additions/deletions as needed. You may want to utilize a list of foods sorted by % calories from fat that is on the webpage.  Remember that grams of fat are not equal to calories from fat.  Must multiply g of fat by 9 to get calories from fat.

Due at midnight, GO!

*High five*

I'd love to. I usually do a water extract with just a shotglass so it's very little water. My parents are strict on drugs and alcohol. Even though I'm in shape, make good grades, and are responsible with what I put into my body. My brother is 13, has diabetes, is overweigt, and makes horrible grades. He also isn't doing anything illegal haha. Ugh. Oh well. Not too much longer until I can get a house and have a huge grow room.

Dude, you just make it up obviously. If it's due today and I haven't done it do you think I know what my diet was for the past five days? All you gotta know is I'm fat, so put it at like 3500 cals a day and you're good to go. I don't eat breakfast in the morning, but I drink coffee, that makes it even easier.

All I know is the amount of beer I consumed because I drank 40s.

See, the thing is that those are legal.  There are no negative consequences for anyone.

If you get caught growing mushrooms in your parents' house, they can face real legal consequences. It's not fair to put them in that situation.

Yeah, and the older you get the more you realize holy shit I did some stupid stuff, or I was way too young to be doing that. I got with girls when I was in middle school. Now my brother is the same age I was then, and he just seems so young. Can't believe I did that shit being in 8th grade haha.
