no, there was no surplus, clinton cooked the books

God damn it. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm a union man and I made FAR more money under Bush than I ever did Herr Klinton. Fuckin' political threads anyways.
I am pretty sure that whatever YOU made in a given period does not neccesarily reflect the federal budget.

except for tax cuts for business that do in fact trickle down they help stimulate the economy even in shaky times like now, unfortunately if you look it's when clinton started raising taxes is around the same time jobs were being exported, seems like it became our biggest export at that time while our gross domestic product is lawyers

No, but the argument is what people, sometimes union people, can make under a given president. I've heard all the arguments and I know what I made, plus the others in my field. Last year we hired boomers into our local because the jobs were so plentiful.

again, I am talking annual budget: income vs outlay. All that I assert is that there was in fact an annual budget surplus. Guess we need to take this derail to POL.
oh, and Pris your comments read like a poem

show me without posting a PDF of clintons cooked books, I worked for a guy that made tons of money, paid his employees poorly, he decided to sell and a few weeks later after several interested buyers came to look the place over, he was nailed, a couple guys in suits walked in and he was showing off both sets of books to show how much he made and how much he reported

just how much of a surplus did we really have?
