30-60 seconds of light a day too much?

Every day I take out my colonizing jars from the protective home, incubator. They leave the dark and go under a cool white fluorescent for 50-60 seconds while I check for abnormal growth or discoloration of the sort.
Could this trigger invitro pinning? Or is the amount of light insignificant.

Nope. So little light cant induce pinning.

if they are 100% colonized, why are you afraid of pinning? if they arent 100% colonized, why do you check them every day?

they are around 65% colonized and I check them every day because I dont know any better.

stop checking on them. leave them quiet. you will also mess things up, there is nothing you can do now apart from spoiling them :wink: check them again in 3 or more days and then again in another 3 days. play it like that. forget they do exist in the incubator.
