steer manure/compost + straw as substrate?
    #9100468 - 10/19/08 03:30 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Hey guys I've been looking for compost to use as a bulk substrate, the only thing I've found is this steer manure, which says its at least 70% steer manure and at most 30% compost.  Would this be ok to use as a bulk substrate if i add straw to it?  Or should I go look for something else?

.. That's basically what I use. It's compost.. Myc of all sorts decompose, and compost has lots of nutes in it for the myc to use to grow.. Thus decomposing. I use coir, manure, coffee grounds, and straw. Although this time I tried some worm casting in place of the steer manure.
