so many mixed answers regarding white fuzz...
    #9099476 - 10/19/08 10:49 AM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Ok, so searching through the posts about white fuzz on the base of the fruits I have gotten 3 different answers:

-perfect condition for fruiting
-too low humidity
-too high humidity

whats the answer?  and why is it that I would only trust RRs answer?
white fuzz means?
You may choose only one

I don't answer polls because they mean nothing.

The white fuzz at the base of stems is mycelium and has nothing to do with humidity or anything else you do.

I read some where that it was a combination of high humidity and high temp which allowed the myc. to keep growing as if it was in pre-fruiting stages....anything on this RR?

there are many things on this forum that people believe to be true that isnt

for example

optimum incubation temp being 86f - wrong
incubating in light can cause pinning - wrong

Wether you are doing cakes, uncased or cased trays. They will still perform best in high humidity.
