I've been thinking about trying a set hand fanned and a set with a humidifier set up. What's important and what's bad in them or does one work as well as the other?

If you would have SEARCHED you would have find the answer.  ShroomGod's Humidifier Tek might explain it the best.

Hand fan- You have to be there 2-3 times a day.
Humidifier- You have to calibrate your setup to achieve correct timing on/off.

That is what you asked for. They both work fine. I do want to help, maybe I don't understand your question. Please elaborate.
