Les Claypool - Purple Onion

This CD is highly recommended for any Primus fans, Frog Brigade or just flat out Claypool fans. Les takes off with his quirky lyrics giving many nods to the future and past through out the entire album. His band is packed with talent, Les does some of the cuts all by his self, others with Skerik the mad sax scientist and the rest of the Frog Brigade the entire band compliments les's whailing bass quite well, this album is proving just what CLaypool is possible of, if Primus is away for good he has a sure spot doing what he's doing now with an ever growing fan base. Anyway I'm no good at reviewing stuff but this album is definitly worth checking out. Then go see Les Live. Hearing him pound on his Whamola was nearly worth my 18$. :grin:

May as well mention this album is also more like old school Primus than anything else out there, I guess they are calling it a concept album. Zappaish and Floydish. :blush:
