found new ga species
    #909430 - 09/26/02 12:19 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

yesterday i found a species that looks just like lk's find only it was growing in bermuda grass. they blued at the bottom of the stems at first and then on up. the mature ones had upturned caps. the rest of the description matches psilocybe mammillata completely except for them growing in grass. i looked everywhere for pictures of mammillata but can't find them. i don't own a digi camera but if anyone who does and wants to take picutres hit me up.

well allright ill post em
like i said they are really dry and the stems are like small as tooth picks it is kind of hard to tell what is what. they definitely have blueing though but i wouldn't consume them unless a complete expert identified them. i am however positive they are not weilii i have been finding many patches of those they (the weilii)are way bigger and definately more meaty like lk said and the stems are longer on these. but i will post those soon got to get my film developed. Ill end up putting them on another post thanks a lot for your replies.
Man it has been a great season way better than last year, yesterday i found a few amanita muscaria var. formosa i will post those too. don't think ill be eating them, maybe someday though, ill probably use these in some art or something. good luck guys!
ps. does anybody have a link to look at pics of ps. mammillata im just curious what they look like. thanks
