minimum holes in monotub?
    #9092195 - 10/17/08 03:14 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Alright, well I have constructed several mono and double tubs, and now that i am about to case all of them i realized that i put two holes in the upper portion of the tub, rather than 4, i just read 4 level with casign layer and 4 on top.  I misread the tek, so my question.. what should i take my chances with, leaving them and fruiting with the two holes, or drill two more possibly risking contamination.  Please help, ohh by teh way, i have been using this site for over a year now, and have solved all of my questions, hundreds, with out asking a single question, this could be a hint to the newcomers, the search engine is great, and chances are any question you have, can be easily found.

Drilling holes in a fruiting chamber doesn't invite contamination.  NOT drilling holes does.  A better question than minimum holes, would be to ask maximum holes.  The answer in that case would be to have as much fresh air as you possibly can while maintaining near saturation humidity.
