Hi all,
Im having trouble trying to pin my pan cyans, I have been lurking and soaking up as much information for the past month and decided to give it a shot. I tried very hard to read up on all the faqs and sticky before I post.
My substrate is Modified dung containing PF tek substrate by BJ: Mix for 10-12 half pints:
5 cups vermiculite 3 cups manure 10 tblspns BRF 1.5 - 1.75 cups water
They were incubated in total darkness at 80f, full colonization was achieved 8-9 days, 2 jars incubated for 11 days and other jars for 14 days.
I crumbled and case with 50/50 tek except without lime or shell. very thin layer, lightly misted, covered with tinfoil and back in the incubator they go for 24 hours.
After they were placed in my fruiting chamber, a translucent plastic box filled with 2 inches of soaked perlite, 3 1/4inch holes drilled on all sides near the bottom except the top and bottom sides. temp were 74.3f-76.1f, RH between 85-95%, natural sunlight diffused, fanned twice a day and misted. The mycelium is growing out nicely but they have not pinned. Its been 10 days since for 2 cases and no pins.
Heres some pics, these been in fruiting chamber for 10 days, yes I did duct tape the sides.
Case 1
 Case 2

these been in for 7 days
Case 3
 Case 4
 Case 5
 Case 6
 Case 7

I've stopped misting and increased fanning, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to bring the temps up near 80-82f.

Keep fanning, but continue not to mist. Hyphal knots of Panaeolus species are tiny, so unless you are looking very hard, you may not notice them. Misting will cause the hyphal knots to abort, meaning you won't get pins. Mist before hyphal knot appear, then desist. If the casing looks dry, you can carefully syringe water onto it, making sure you touch no hyphal knots with the water.
